No warm introduction required, no analyst screen, and no slow no. Here is exactly what happens after you write to us — and what we ask of you along the way.
The fourteen day process

Day 0
Introduction
Send a short note and whatever you already have. No warm introduction required — we read everything that arrives.

Day 1–3
First conversation
Sixty minutes with two partners. We want the problem, the insight, and the reason it is you.

Day 4–7
Deep dive
A working session on product, market, and plan. We do our own customer references and share what we learn with you.

Day 8–10
Partnership meeting
You meet the whole team. We circulate an internal memo and send you a copy, whatever the outcome.

Day 11–14
Terms and close
A clean, standard term sheet with no option-pool games. Documents signed and funds wired the same week.
Questions founders ask us
Do you need a warm introduction?
No. Roughly a third of our investments came from cold inbound. Every message to founders@initiumfund.com is read by a partner, not screened by an analyst.
Will you lead the round?
Usually. We lead most pre-seed and seed rounds we join, set terms, and are comfortable being the first institutional money on the cap table. We also follow when the round already has a lead we respect.
How much do you invest, and do you reserve for follow-on?
First checks are $500K to $6M. We reserve more than half of every fund for follow-on and have participated in 78% of our companies' next rounds.
Do you take a board seat?
Only when the founder wants one. Where we do not sit on the board, we take observer rights or nothing at all. We do not use board seats to manufacture control.
What if we are pre-product or pre-team?

We are outside the US and Europe. Should we still write?
Yes. We have invested in 19 countries and run offices in New York, London and Singapore. Remote-first companies are welcome.
